i agree but it also boosts cinema business which will be good.

geos promotion is always weird, they dnt promote properly even KKL, only the hype saved it, they should look at ary and learn and let other channels promote it.

Geo's film promotion have been excellent.See how they promoted Koi Tujh Sa Kahan,Commando,Khuda Kay Liye....!
Even Majajan and MEDLKA did good business which also Geo promoted but not in tht much enthusiastic way as they did in above films!Maybe Geo was the Official Media Partner of above films!

They should learn from ARY?huh!
ARY has been a total Flop is promoting movies....
wether its Pyar Hi Pyar Mein,Pehla Pehla Pyar,Eng.movies like The Last Legion etc etc.
Now when they have established there own ARY Films then they are promoting the movie like Geo does.

Khuda Kay Liye was well promoted by Geo.

Yoyo u gotta be kidding man the promotion for kkl on GEO was massive and it was trend setting and ARY is failed to follow that trend GEO promoted the movie step by step first they promote the music of kkl and after the soundtrack release they agressively promoted the movie unlike ARY where they are showing same old style promos and even the music of Godfather is not properly released.

still, they must be showing trailors and promos on other channels, kkl promotion i felt was late is well, they should have promoted the film 2 months before the release date.

ary didnt do good with a few films but they did excellent with ydakh when lollywood was completly dead, with godfather is well, its really aggresive and there releasing the film in uk is well at the same time.

People would have been completly bored watchin the trailors of KKL for 2 months.!

not at all, if they bring more and different promos, most bollywood and hollywood films start promotion 2 moths before, if people got bored they wouldnt do it that early

well in case of kkl the promos were different like i said earlier first they introduced the characters then they promoted the music and in the end they showed the full theaterical promos.

totally agree wid u like i said earlier to me its an indian film with some pakistani actors making small appearences to make it release in pakistan and the worst thing is that the movie havent got the best theater's either it is releasing in average cinema's in karachi along with cineplex cuz the three main stream cinemas are showing kkl & mohabbttan sachiyaan.

its a totally indian movie ...even the director is indian and its amazing how a pakistani producer spent all this money on indians. this movie will definately make money in pakistan like awaarapan did and this is a sure sign that indian movies would sooner or later creep into our cinemas ..wether its in disguise of cooperation or joint ventures to some day when full fledged indian movies would be a norm in pakistan. lollywood cant give india a run for its money as far as commercial movie making is concerned...they are the champs of that...what lollywood can do is make more artistic movies like KKL that are more true to pakistani society and culture so that they have their own market.

of course i am and that is why i m giving you guys some suggestions as far as cinema is concerned cause you have no idea about cinema as art or business. i saw KKL at a friends recommendation on a website and I quite liked it. it may work commercially in pakistan but it wont in other places where its all about razzmatazz and bolly people are chaps of that. one of the big reasons why bollywood is now a worldwide phenomenon is cause of huge home market, respect for art, govt support, technolgy, education and a massive cinema infrastructure. all this stuff is in our blood and religion dude. isme tum hamara muqabla nahi kar paoge. concentrate on artsty films like KKL so that even though you r not a multi billion dollars commercial movie industry like hollywood and bollywood, you can make artsy cinema like iran and atleast gather respect for good cinema. that s my point.
