I'm standing here
Surrounded by everyone
Yet i feel so alone
I pretend to be happy
But I'm really not
They think they understand how i feel
But no one really knows the pain inside
They don't understand why i do the things i do

I'm crying out
But no one hears me
I don't seem to make a sound
I'm reaching for a hand
He takes mine
But then just lets go

No one understands
I only want to be loved
I want someone to hold me close
And never let go
Because i want this pain to go away
This pain of loneliness

Empty words
that stay within
and stupid lies
that never leave

Shallow love
and worthless deaths
Stupid suicides
that still had faith

You can't create pain
that's something you gain
You can't be defeated
if you were never saved

Listen to the words i wrote
and ask yourself if you still have hope
because being lonely is what you get
when you have forgiven,but it's you they forget*

All is quiet, but for the constant ticking
of the clock on my wall.
An occasional black bird outside my window
squawks like a warning to all who can hear it.
Time waits for no one.

My spirits are low as I listen to the silence.
No children calling my name to referee in their squabbles,
No pets scratching at the door demanding attention,
No telephone ringing or friends coming to call,
Nothing at all but the ticking of the clock on the wall.

It is dark now and even the birds have gone to bed.
My heart is still heavy with loneliness.
My spirits are still low from sadness,
Yet the clock still ticks and time still passes.

I sit here on my bed
lost..longing for something..someone to hold me
i feel the tears roll down my eyes..but why
why do i have this feeling...this feeling of emptiness
this feeling of loneliness...
lost without hope..
in a dark tunnel with no shimmer of light
with no way out...
what do i do..who do i call..
NO ONE... I'm all alone
LOST in a world of my own
this world....known to me as loneliness
