Maple tree with its canopy,
standing tall is what I would be.
Reaching out with loving arms,
protecting children from all harm.

Gather neath my bough so strong,
filled with love and birds of song.
Enjoy my shade in summertime,
come sit and share words of rhyme.

Rustling sounds in captured breeze,
glints of light between maple leaves.
Dressed for autumn in hues bright,
so grandiose and pure delight.

Sugar maple stand tall and proud,
my sweet love bellows long and loud.
In full bloom or branches bare,
roots grow deep in love and care.
