Pakistani film won first prize in Switzerland
A Pakistani film "Khamosh Pani" (The Silent Water), directed by Miss Sabiha Somar won the "Golden Leopard" in 56th Lokarno Film Festival in Switzerland on August 17th. The film story is about a widow and her young son who became an extremist in the late 70s when Islamic laws were forced in Pakistan by a military dictator. 17 countries were participating in this film festival.
