Do not invade oh sadness, for I pine,
while shadows masquarade, strangles.
Thoughts meander, can no longer confine,
overcome, myriads of emotions entangles.

Embellished in newness of love's domain,
soaring hearts in blindness become infused.
Forever mirth, a falacy searched for in vain,
naivety makes one oblivious when bruised.

Trifles, sets her sights on man's weakness,
mid the dalliance, alluring, attraction grows.
Thorns now prick, where once lay sweetness,
bleeding heart replaces petal soft red rose.

Echoes of joy, once prevalently heard, hushes,
somberness snaps quickly, grief takes its toll.
Daunting, wilily creature, her venom crushes,
melancholy begets gloom, poor pensive soul.
