Walking Away

Shall not feel alone any longer,
affirmative, become stronger.
Left all alone I was decieved,
no longer focused or believed.

Made me feel I was not worth,
to be happy here upon earth.
Then I felt deep inside of me,
courage wanting to break free.

No love back for much too long,
my heart sang a sad love song.
Too blind to see, truth was hid,
things you said, things you did.

No longer in his grasp held tight,
new day dawned I saw the light.
We all have within a little voice,
that leads us to the right choice.

You shall never again cause pain,
nor dash my hopes in pouring rain.
I can walk with my head held high,
and finally bid your love goodbye.
