How do you see the peace accord between the government and the taliban of swat. do you think this nizam-e-adal regulation is a step in right direction or not
Posted 19 Apr 2009

in my point of view... Govt and Local Talibans both are trying to have a safe side... dono k tahafuzat hain... Govt ne apnay hisab se right decision lia... aur taliban ne apnay hisab se...
is step se agay ki taraf dekha jae to kya Swat mai aisay log hain jo is nizam ko behtar tareeqay se chala saktay hain ya sirf dramay baazi aur dhons hi hai...??

If stops killing and human misery, I'll opt for it. Who knows what will be implemented! Given its limitations (in the hands of taliban), it is better than killing and torturing at the will of individuals. Intead of warring commanders making summary judgments, some sort of process will be involved in the qazi courts.

But Agar yeh True Islamic Sharia Implement karna chahtay hain Tho hamara Full Support in kay sath hain.

The issue is not with the sharia. The biggest woo is the way they implement it.....image of sharia law in the minds of the people is "lash-loving", "sword/gun happy" people get to do the justice at whim.....

....It is muslims who hate it more than anybody and the reason for it is how it is percieved....brutality, barbarism, harsh treatment, or however you name it are words that are synonymous to "sharia" or how it is imaged in the minds of the people....and there is none else than these people to blame who enforced sharia law in such a way that made it look so terrible.

Meri jo raye hain ke humara mulk Islami Jhamooriat of Pakistan, so its laws are Islamic. This is a simple minds thought, yani ke meri. Making two kind of laws within one country, bit strange desicion. but agree with Rehan M Din, both sides have choosen for safe side.

its implementation is a big question. is it the real Sharia law, then it couldn't be going wrong. But if and when a law is put on someone with brutality, then no one would agree with it.
Baat yeh hai ke hum kehte hain ke yeh baat shahria ke mutabiq aisi hai, but har koi Aalim banta phirta hai. ya to phir sub faisley wagaira bhi sahi hoon.
what people now think about sharia law is: man with beards, women with burka, not allowed to work and only good for staying within the walls of the house.
That isn't sharia. So maybe we can show what real sharia is, that's what i hope. then i am fully in favour of it.

well, hope u get the point what i wanted to say. SD ki tarah short and sharp answer nahin hai.

*Yaa Right

*Allah swt jantay hain kay yeh log kaisay hain aur what kind of sharia yeh log implement kar rahay hain.
I wish Real Islamic Shari'at ka nafaaz ho,InshAllah

* Yaa Kuch aisay log hain Jinho ne Muslims ka naam kharab kiya hain.Jinho ne Islam kay Image ko Bhi logo kay samnay Kharab kiya.

But sometimes i feel like kya yeh aik Plan nahi hain kay Muslims kay hi nazar main Islam Kay Image ko kharab kiya jaye.
Like as You said Mostly Muslims kay Mind main yehi image hain aur woh Muslims bhi kisi had tak theek hain coz hamaray samnay aisi Examples moujood hain chahay woh sahi hain ya ghalat hain, jis se yeh tasur milta hain .
like agar aap hijab,Madrassay ka naam laingay Tho sab se pehlay iskay Khilaf muslims hi bolaingay
magar hum Muslims hi agar madrassay aur hijab ko bura kahaingay tho hum Non Muslims se kya Gilla kartay hain.

I Know that Islam is Perfect aur Islami Sharia hi hamari kamyaabi hain.
Log Islam k khilaaf jitna ghalat kahay ya Islam Ko Ghalat tareekay se pesh karay i am and i'll always be in favour of Madrassa education and Hijab
InshAllah...!

exactly right ! shaista & sunshine

... I have said this before and will say it again, there is not a model of successful implementation of Sharia exists in modern times...examples of saudia, sudan, afghanistan...paint a negative image of Islam and portray it as repressive and backward societies....because all their sharia is applicable to crimes in a harsh way and preventing women from freedom.

Now, there are western societies capitalizing on those weaknesses but the muslims at the helm of applying sharia are equally responsible for hurting Islam.

These people have forgotten the very basic element of establising Islamic sharia, i.e. inviting people to goodness before prohibiting evil. They have forgotten the job of educating and grooming young muslims -- help them become models of Islamic behavior which in turn inspires societies around them to emulate them....and then, we have among muslims who are afraid of loosing their life style if sharia will apply.... naturally, in a society, where there is a large population that lives in that fear, they will align with opponents of sharia. In such circumstances, I am sure those proponents of sharia could use and understand some wisdom -- violence turns people off! no matter how good is your system. No prophet forced a system upon its people unless they accepted it to be their way of life....

Hijab and madrassa are great but they are not Islam in themselves. Hijab only works if it is taken by will and understanding and by internalizing iman. Forcing it or creating an environment that compells women to wear hijab without a will and understanding nurtures resentment leading to hate and contempt for sharia.

Madrassa are an institution of education and its scope to strict religous teachings has been limited only by narrow minds. School is an english word for madrassa, meaning a place of education. Like any instituion, job of a "madrassa" is to educate and groom youngsters of a society into productive and highly functional citizens. Who is responsible for limiting this scope of madrassas to a "seminary-like" function and then to a para-militant production units. where they are given a tunnel-vision of the world and the society which they care not to serve and make it a better place. They rather long to destroy it

u know, sub hi old madrassas main itne parhe likhe hain. they used to teach each and every lesson in a madrassa, not only Islam. it was a school of totality. due to Madrassas we, as pakistani, had also great people. so hope they will be back at their glory days

hijaab is necessary, i know. lekin hijaab dil ka bhi to hota hai na. aggar insaan hijaab kar ke bhi be-pardah ho to phir? main pardah nahin karti, lekin apne aur kissi mard main itna parda zaroor hota hai ke aisi waisi koi baat ya sooch na ho.
i think u should first get purity of heart. then to complete it, get hijaab. that's my opinion.

Dua karein ke humara Pakistan eik rahe, aur Islamic Republic ka naam roshan kare. Eik Islamic country ban ke dikhaye.

*Yaa Right Sir I agree

But Hum un Girls pe Ungli tho nahi utha saktay Jo Hijab karti hain
woh sahi karti hain aur woh Hum se aik Darjay oper hain.

I wish kay yeh Log Islamic Sharia ka Nafaaz karay
May Allah swt Forgive us and Guide us
Ameen...!

didn't mean to point a finger at girls who wear hijab, have lots of respects for those girls.
lekin maine idher bahut si larkiyan dekhi hain jo ghar se hijaab main nikalti hain, jaise hi baher pahonchti hain tab aur tarah ki ho jati hain.
anyway, sharia isn't all about hijab aur rahi darje ki baat, woh to Allah hi ko pata hai na.

...the harder we hit them, the more they recruit ...
they were less than 10,000 in afghanistan before 9/11; how many are there and in Pakistan now? In eight years of war, they have only strengthened and regrouped stronger than before. Their area of operation has been ever expanding...
