Autumn Memories

Upon the leaf that floats mid air,
autumn sunrise, wet morning dew.
Sweet fragrance of the rose compare,
these thing remembrances of you.

Now awaken me to soft melodic tune,
sing song bird sing, help me recall,
See your face upon cratered full moon,
memories rush in, floating leaves fall.

In any direction that I may travel afar,
each step brings us closer to embrace.
As I close my eyes, there you are,
once more I sigh as see your face.

Missing you mid change of season,
night air becomes crisp with a chill.
Why you had to go, for what reason,
I ponder in this lonely night still.

Maybe in time I shall no longer grieve,
sorrow washed away by spring rain.
Love embedded in heart, never leaves,
so strong it shall always remain.
