Afghan SC condemns ‘Miss Afghanistan’

KABUL: The Afghan Supreme Court on Wednesday condemned a woman, who is competing as Miss Afghanistan at a beauty pageant, saying such a display of the female body goes against Islamic law and Afghan culture. Vida Samadzai, 23, is competing in the Miss Earth competition in Manila, the Philippines, and last week she paraded down a catwalk in a bikini during a public appearance by contestants ahead of the November 9 judging. At a meeting of the Afghan Supreme Court judges condemned Samadzai’s appearance. "Women who show their bodies without clothes in front of people are completely against Shariah, against Islam and against the culture of the Afghan people," the court said, according to the report.

there is a big contovertial issue in pakistan,pakistani govt will not give the permission...don't worry...we should be in limitation.

come on guyz..we should support pakistani girls if they want to achieve something in different kind of fields..may it be a film, model, miss contest or what so ever..we shouldn't ignore them..show the world that we are not backward!

well u tell me..does the current miss pakistan cause harm to u if she want to contest miss election?its her body na..its her beauty..why do u feel offended? and whats more..every paki models dont interfere wid our live so whats right do we have to condemn their acts? just because we are muslims? many of us watch bollywood moviez wich is full of nudity..does any paki model condemn it? NO THEY DONT! THEY LEAVE U ALONE AND RESPECT IT..WHY THE HELL CANT WE RESPECT OTHER PEOPLES IRRESPECTIVE THEIR JOBS!

there is nothing wrong wid being old fashioned..but i say it as simple..if u dont want to be progressive then dont be..but leave the other peoples alone what ever they want to do!

I THINK EVERYBODY HAS THE RIGHT TO DO WAT THEY WANT, AS LONG AS THEY R THE ONLY 1S CONCERNED, Y IS IT ALWAYS GALS WHO R SUPPOSED TO PRESERVE ISLAMIC VALUES AND ALL!
I DONT SEE ANY GUYS BEIN PICKED ON FO NOT COMPLYIN WITH THE SHARIAH LAW!

well all guyes,tell me one thing? what is 21 century,I am amazed,if 21 century means naked body showing,we left our cultural values just like neigbourhood country that have no culture value and did we give up our full dressed and wear a mini skirt?there is no development ever in pakistan or india.if this is done,we should adopt a new technique,think,equipment that is cause of 21 century.
