Whiteley from West Vancouver high school has enrolled at the University of
Texas. Whiteley, who went to Arizona Western Junior College last summer, was
offered over 15 full scholaerships from schools like Arkansas, Virginia, TCU and
West Virginia.“I never thought I would make such a high-level program,”
Whiteley told the Vancouver Province on Tuesday. “But its been a lot of hard
work and I am excited to be here. It definitely paid off for me, going to a juco
(junior college).”In the last decade, 28 Div. 1 scholarships have gone to high
school football players from B.C.
