December 15 (Online): A newly Christian turned Muslim Canadian woman Cindy May Falloon has termed all the allegations against the religion of Islam as baseless and has said that this is the only religion which gives the message of peace and harmony .
"I embraced Islam after finding Muslims very friendly, polite and peaceful. It is a very peaceful religion with strong family values," she said during an exclusive interview with 'PakTribune' on Sunday .

Cindy May Falloon has embraced Islam after arriving here at Pakistan and got married with a Pakistani businessman Khurshid Ahmad on December 06. "We were in touch with each other from the last three years and were exchanging photographs and cards through Internet," she said .

Cindy said that she has been studying Islam and found it very peaceful which motivated her to embrace Islam adding that Islam gives the equal rights to everybody and it provides best protection to women .

She was living in such community where there was no Muslim and she tried to contact many organizations for getting information about the Islam but they did not cooperate with her, she informed .

The Christian cum Muslim woman said that she did not go through to the Holy Quran but studied many books about Islam, which motivated her to take such a big step and converted her religion from Christianity to Islam .

She went on to say that she would now apply all Islamic teachings further adding that her family members will not show any resistance on her decision as she made this decision after taking them in full confidence. However Cindy said that her family members are not interested in converting their religion .

Cindy said that there is very wrong perception about Islam that it is very rigid religion and Muslims are fundamentalists and terrorists saying that there is need to portray the real image of Islam abroad .

She said that people want to get information about Islam but there is lack of information therefore Pakistani government and other organizations should preach them .

Responding to a question, the newly married couple replied that Cindy is working as a health care worker in Canada while Khurshid is running his own business here at Satellite Town, Rawalpindi .

Khurshid said that Cindy will go back to Canada next week and she will return after six months and will feel pleasure to live here with him. Although he maintained that they can live in Canada in future
