'Commando' fares well at the box office

Disappointed by Lollywood's offering for Eid this year. As usual this time three films hit the theatres, Qayamat, Commando and Papoo Lahoria. All the films were quite promising but only few survived.

Commando:
Among the Eid releases, this one was quite strong mainly because of the fact that it was a Syed Noor production. The cast included Shan, Saima, Moammer Rana, Zara Sheikh and Meera. Termed as been inspired by Charlie's Angels, it was not a bad action movie. This movie managed to pull the maximum crowd. The music was average but superb direction and excellent camera work saved the day. As the film is getting a good response, one feels that Syed Noor will now be in a much better position.

Papoo Lahoria:
The cast includes Saima, Shan, Moammar Rana, Meera and Naseebo Lal. Directed by Masood Butt, the film came up to the expectations of the people. The film got the second best crowd mainly because Naseebo acted in it, otherwise it is a usual Punjabi movie.

Surprisingly enough a mega film like QAYAMAT, directed by Sangeeta and having the best cast of the town such as Shan, Saima, Nirma, Babar Ali, Saud, Rambo and Laila; the film failed to live up to the expectations. Though in the initial few days, the film did got a good response but then it failed to attract crowd.
