EVERYONE has to understand something here: larki punjaban has not been OFFICIALLY released worldwide as promised. thats why it has not made the money it was expected to make.

you will notice, in the UK where it was hyped the most, the film was released for a month only, and even that....in certain select cinemas.

now in pak, it is playing sporadically in certain locations. i emailed someone who writes professional articles on lollywood, and this is the response i got in regards to LP:

"Larki Panjaban has had its release delayed because of a case in which some producer claims that Syed Noor has hijacked her film which was called Kuri Panjaban! i saw the boards up for the film passing by Rwpindi the other day but the dates were not up. its bound to be resolved shortly."

clearly, the film is suffering due to its sporadic release. if sayed noor was able to release it simultaneously as he wanted, there is NO DOUBT it would have SMASHED lollywood records.

so ydakh jee, i appeal 2 u (aap to sumajh-daar hain!), and everyone else that has a brain, 2 not be ignorant and blame saima, and the punjabi language 4 this film's problems. lack of exposure, this scandal abt the name, sporadic release dates and a host of other reasons contribute to its lack of success thus far.

I knew that some people will angry with saima and lp argument..

I know saima is good actress,but her liking is divide half people like and half is unlike.

but it's fact maybe u dont know karachi is a biggest city of pakistan where mojority of urdu speaking they not aware of punjabi lang..lp has lost karachi biz...so it's biz got weak...lp has made 1crore 10lakh it's good but not huge which has expected,'Commando' is top breaking records of opening of no such good publicity.

'YDAKH' is a biggest biz in only in karachi..48 week..no city like karachi biz,everybody surprize here..that' why Humayee saeed has come to annouce a movie making.

I am talking on fact,we should not emotional about lp.
I know his quality and direction will be superb..I know syed noor,like him maker is not in whole pakistan.
But this movie will huge business only in punjab.

anyhow...wherever it succeeds, i just hope it lives up to expectations. if not in karachi...other cities in pak might appreciate it!!!! for the industry's sake, i hope it does good elsewhere.

well nfakfan no doubt saima was the best in the movie when it comes to performance but some how i feel that movie was missing the typical syed noor style he did the trick in commando which smashed the box office records but not in lp.
