The reactions of the Pakistani film industry to the recent visits of Indian film stars:
By Aijaz Gul
Actress Sana, while recently shooting for the tele- film Jan Ada, could not hide her anger and frustration at Resham and Meera giving an enthusiastic reception to Urmila Matondkar and Pooja Bhatt. Her outburst was understandable because she was not out there to welcome the Indian actresses. According to Sana, she has no such complex and she would never go out and get herself photographed with Indian film artists. However, she has no problems how about filming songs in Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa rendered by Kavita Krishnamurti, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik and Kumar Sanu. Sana's insecure reaction speaks volumes for the fright Lollywood feels when confronted by the night of Hindi cinema. But increasingly, there is a feeling in Lollywood that they have to think with their heads and not with their hearts.
(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! STUPID SANA)!!!
Director, screenwriter and producer Syed Noor recently addressed a press conference in Lahore where he said that there was no harm in co-production. He was blunt enough to admit that India was equipped with better film technology and Pakistan could benefit and improve from it. Director Pervez Rana who directed as many eight quickies in 2002, admits that Indian filmmakers excel but Pakistan is equally good in Punjabi films. He thinks that India and Pakistan should exchange Urdu films with Punjabi films. If bragging about Punjabi films from Pervez Rana wasn't enough, Meera compliments the director along with Sangeeta and Masood Butt. According to Meera, these three directors are the very best in Punjabi films and even Yash Chopra and Mahesh Bhatt from Mumbai cannot beat them in this game. However, Meera does support the idea of film exchange between the two countries.
(HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! STUPID MEERA)!!!
Shan repeated Meera in praising our Punjabi films and also admitting that India was far ahead of us in Urdu (Hindi) films. "We must work together" said Shan "and like in cricket, we would also win". Now that is a Lollywood hero talking.
(SHAAN'S ALWAYS RIGHT. I WON'T LAUGH AT HIM! HE'S DA MAN!! LOL.)
overall, india knows how 2 make movies....we know how 2 make music.....COLLABORATE!!! our talent will be exposed on a global scale this way! nothing wrong with collaborations. anyone agree??
