Colts Announce Release of 33 Players to Trim to 53-Man Roster

The Indianapolis Colts announced the http://www.cheapdolphinsonline.com/shop-by-players-kenyan-drake-jersey-c-1_31.html release of 33 players on Saturday afternoon, as the team cut their roster down to a league mandated 53-players by the 4 PM EST deadline:
Additionally, the team placed cornerback Chris Culliver, inside linebacker Edwin Jackson, and safety Earl Wolff IV on the team’s injured reserve, as well as safety Clayton Geathers on PUP (as planned).
Perhaps, the biggest news of the day was that star quarterback Andrew Luck was activated off of PUP, which means he can return within the first 6 weeks of the regular season and practice immediately with his teammates.
At first glance though, the biggest cuts not previously leaked for the Colts appear to be former starting nose tackle David Parry–who started all 32 games for the defense over the past two seasons, and rotational interior defensive lineman T.Y. McGill–who appeared in 25 games during that same span.
However, some other notable veterans such as outside linebacker Akeem Ayers, who was arguably the Colts best linebacker in coverage last season, and free agent addition Sean Spence were also reported to be cut casualties earlier on Saturday.
It’s also unfortunate that this year’s preseason ‘Rudy’, wide receiver JoJo Natson, an undrafted rookie who showed a lot of flashes of speed and fight at just 5’7?, 153 pounds didn’t make the 53-man roster. The diminutive, yet dangerous wide receiver had some impressive plays in preseason and training camp, but fumbled three times during the team’s preseason finale, which may have sealed his fate off the Colts roster.
Instead, it appears as though holdover Quan Bray will remain the team’s 5th wide receiver and handle primary special teams return duties.
Otherwise, new general manager Chris Ballard elected to keep two 2nd-year projects, cornerback/safety  T.J. Green and offensive tackle Le’Raven Clark. Green showed some promise in preseason after being moved from safety to cornerback, but Clark appeared to relapse at right tackle–as he was soundly beat multiple times http://www.cheappatriotssale.com/shop-by-players-devin-mccourty-jersey-c-1_15.html during the preseason finale.
As far as veteran additions go, two newcomers wide receiver Kamar Aiken and outside linebacker Barkevious Mingo made the 53-man roster, as did another veteran who was less on the bubble in Margus Hunt.
Recent trade addition, safety Ronald Martin, also made the roster after the team acquired him for long snapper Thomas Hennessy from the New York Jets just a few days ago.
Lastly, the Colts will carry four quarterbacks on the 53-man roster–at least for the time being, as it’s likely only a temporary number until the team’s new trade acquisition Jacoby Brissett fully learns the playbook in the next week or so with backup Stephen Morris most likely on the bubble.
It comes perhaps at the expense of the running back position, which has just three running backs: Frank Gore, Robert Turbin, and Marlon Mack–meaning the Colts don’t have much depth at the position should an injury arise.
However, just because this is how the roster currently stands, doesn’t mean it’ll be like this by the same time tomorrow, as the Colts will presumably be looking to claim other teams’ players who are now on waivers.
Some of the younger players who were Jason Jones Authentic Jersey just released by the Colts could also resurface with the organization, only this time around on their 10-man practice squad which the team will be assembling in the immediate future.
