3 women visit a picture shop, ther they find a fancy to a painting,
having told by the shop assistant the painting is £30.00, the 3 women decide to
buy the painting with a share of £10.00 each. The painting is sold and the women leave.
Meanwhile the owner of the shop returns and notices the painting has been sold, the assistant tells him he sold it for £30.00. The owner says the painting was really priced at £25.00 and so tells the assistant to return £5.00 to the 3 women.
The assistant however returns only £1.00 to each woman and keeps £2.00 himself. Now the painting has cost each woman £9.00 each…….. here goes: 3 x £9 = £27 + £2 that the assistant kept, totalling £29.00…. total should really be £30.00…WHERE HAS THE £1.00 GONE??
