Chief Minister Sindh Sardar Ali Muhammad Mehar has resigned, the Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad has accpeted the resignation.the name of Arbab Ghulam Raheem was in circulation for important portfolio in the present circumstances, in the backdrop of his recent shuttling visit of London where he called on MQM chief Altaf Hussain.
The Sindh Governor informed that in view of the recent situation Sindh assembly session would be convened prior to the budget session, however he gave no details as to who was in the line to replace Mehar.

Sindh Governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad dissolved Sindh cabinet on Monday night. There were 20 ministers, 16 Advisors and two special assistants in the cabinet. All the department have also been abolished and protocol of the ministers have also been suspended for two days.
There are three candidates Arbab Ghulam Rahim, Imtiaz Shaikh and Syed Muzaffar Hussain Shah in line for the slot of Chief Minister but Arbab Ghulam Rahim is considered as powerful candidate.
