Bartolo Colon is not ready to hang up his cleats just yet. Mike Puma of the New York Post reports Colon could be open to signing a Minor League Hunter Pence Youth Jersey contract in his quest to return to the Majors, though he would only do so with the Mets. However, New York has shown limited interest in Colon to this point, according to Puma.

Colon, 44, Hunter Strickland Youth Jersey was beloved by local fans during his three-year tenure with the Mets
from 2014-16, during which he went 44-34 with a 3.90 ERA and memorably
hit his first and only career home run. But Colon struggled through the
2017 season, finishing with a 6.48 ERA and 1.59 WHIP while splitting
time with the Braves and Twins. The right-hander allowed one run over 6
1/3 innings in the Twins' regular-season finale, then proclaimed "I'm
not going anywhere" in Ian Gardeck Youth Jersey response to rumors that 2017 would be his final season.

Colon said he plans to keep his promise to his late mother, Adriana; he
told her before she passed away in 2014 that he wants to pitch until
he's 45. His 45th birthday will come on May 24.

Mets hearing from clubs on Lagares
The Mets are taking Jarrett Parker Youth Jersey calls on center fielder Juan Lagares, Heyman tweeted Friday.

When healthy, the 28-year-old is a superb defender in center. Lagares
won a Gold Glove Award in 2014, but he's been limited by injuries in
each of the past two seasons. In 2017, he played only 94 games, missing
time due to a left oblique strain and then a fractured left thumb.

Lagares is known more for his glove than his bat -- he hit .250 with
three homers and 15 RBIs last season -- but according to a New York
Times report last week, he's been working with the same private hitting
instructors, Craig Wallenbrock and Robert Van Scoyoc, that helped
players like Chris Taylor and J.D. Martinez revamp their swings and
change their careers.

The Mets aren't exactly deep in terms of outfielders -- Michael
Conforto's shoulder surgery will likely keep him out past Opening Day,
leaving the team with Yoenis Cespedes, Lagares and Brandon Nimmo
penciled in across the depth chart. But they also have other needs to
address, especially second base -- where they've been linked to names
like the Indians' Jason Kipnis and the Pirates' Josh Harrison in trade
talks -- and in the bullpen.
