democracy... pata nahin kia matbal hota hai iss ka

likin jahan tak hamara chota sa demagh kaam karta hai..matlab yehi hona chahiye k loagon ki govt ho!!yani k leaders jo kuch bhi karein awam k liye karein.. apnay bank balance ko bardhanay k liye nahin

balke yeh k sab kuch awam ki marzi se ho,,,
thora fark hai
coz baki sab systems mei bhi hota to sab awam liye hi hai par awam ki marzi k bager

par kya aisa karna hi awam k liye behtar hai ????

well.. in tht case i dnt thnk so k democracy honi chahiye

likin..is baat ki bhi koi gurantee nahin k os country ka ruler sahi decision lay raha hai

aur jo log yeh decision hi sahi na le sakein how can u trust them for the rest

democracy means majority rules - minority, to heck with it!

Meaning, governing laws are legislated by the vote of the majority. Now question is, what if majority votes to accepting haram as a norm, or a rule contradicting divine injunctions?

Sall at el, you all have valid points.
Ideally, rule of God is supreme. All man made laws should either conform with it or be derived from it.

I am not saying word of people be ignored, rather it should be measure of performance and feedback for improvement.

no1 is perfect yaar !!!
koi bhi banda iss baat ki gurantee nahin day sakta k woh sahi say mulk ko rule karay ga widout any mistakes

situations changes alwzz!!!
kabhi kabhi baray say bara akalmand bhi ghlati kar deta hai choti si jis say bohat nuksaan hota hai..or kabhi baray say bara bewakoof bhi aisi akalmandi ki baat kar deta hai banda heran reh jay

Democracy is one extreme and dictatorship is another. One grants people to practise their whims and the other one gives free reins to one ruler to rule by his whims.
Islam offers a median which is the best of both worlds. Islam welcomes norms of democracy so far as human desires do not exceed the divine thrashold. For example, no matter if majority of the people want to consume interest, or gamble, it can never become a lawful practice in the state. Islamic democracy is consultation and by which a ruler is appointed who rules unchanged until either death takes over or that his rulership is not acceptable to the people who appointed him.

Muslims are affraid of Islamic rule themselves, becuz they fear that their sinful lifestyle will be restrained. So they go for alternatives even if they are harmful but at least they allow everything but Islam. We want and we choose lifestyles and style of governance to suit our needs, so why complain?

really sall, do you think those who want to continue to oppress poor farmers, those who cheat and decieve, those who take bribes, those who like get rich at anybody's expense, those who want luxuries of life and for which they wud cheat, steal, or even kill; those who live to chase women, those who compete with others only in dunya, those whose life is but disobedience to Allah would want...
rule of Justice, rule by the book of Allah and not by whims, when rules wouldn't bend for relatives and acquaintences, which would adopt austere living, would take account of rulers and those surrounding them before taking account of commonors, would treat all equal, would be severe on crimes and crimnals

Muslim, I'm sorry, I didn't get your point.
