I'm american, not of any Indian/paki/middle east background but I have a lot of middle eastern friends, and I watch indian movies a lot.... and I was just wondering in the song Mahi ve from KHNH does soni mean like darling? If not... what is something like that that you call a boyfriend? You know, like darling, sweetheart, those things.. what would be something I could call my boyfriend. I was going to say soni, but if it's not what I think it is, I don't want to offend people that actually know it.
yeah soni could mean darling (actual word soni means beautiful/pretty), but it's meant for female...if u want to call darling to a guy, then u'll call sona, not soni
