If u get selected as the JANUBABA IDOL...Then there are two prizes for you. On the first hand you will get a golden opportunity to enter the ALL DESI FORUM'S IDOL contest. Yup...a IDOL contest among all largest torrent sites/forums. So, this is the golden chance for u to get a official entry from JANUBABA. And If U win there....U ll b the IDOL of all forums. And JANUBABA will rock there in every forum just bcoz of U. And about the second prize...just keep guessing !!! And there are also certain prizes for the 1st & 2nd runners up but thats a suprise !!!
General Rules:
1) The contest will have total of three rounds, all Janubaba members are allowed to participate.
However all the participants will remain fully anonymous during the competition.
2) First Round ? No theme, all Desi language song allowed ( even English as long as the song is desi). Please note karaoke or instruments are not allowed for this round. Entries allowed from may 7 to may 13 Midnight Indian Standard Time.
At the end of this round public poll will be conducted and 10 participants with the highest number of votes will go through for Second Round.
3)Second Round ? This is a theme round. We will randomly assign a partner for all the participants. This would make a total of five pairs. You will need to sing a song based on the theme your partner selects, and you will have to select a song for your partner. Themes allowed are Sad Song, Romantic Song, patriotic song, dance number (item song), any song from 70?s, any song from 80?s and any song from 90?s. Please note karaoke is not allowed for this round.

4)Final Round ? After the end of second round 3 participants( please refer to voting rules for more information regarding selection for 3 participants) will enter the final round. Only Hindi songs allowed in this round. You may chose any song you wish to sing and you are allowed to use karaoke or instruments for this round.
Submission rules:
1) You have to upload your song to any site (rapidshare, rapidupload,megaupload etc etc) and have a link ready for your song. Alternatively if you have trouble uploading your song, send it to me or at along with your desired nick name. You do not have to disclose ur janubaba identity while e-mailing.
2) you need to stay anonymous during the competition. You need to pick a nick name of your liking and the link for your song along with your nick to
3) First round will run from May 7 to may 13.
4) Your partner for the second round will be assigned to you by May 17 and Second round will run from May 19 to May 25.
5) the Final round will run from May 30 to June 04.
6) during the course of competition, any participants found revealing his/her identity would be immediately disqualified from the competition.
7) all the dates are firm and no exceptions would be made.
Voting Rules
1) At the end of first round, public poll will be conducted. Any votes made from the multiple IDs will result in elimination of all the votes made by that person i.e the vote made from fake IDs and the real ID. Top 10 participants with highest number of votes will go through to the second round.
2) At the end of second round, public poll will be conducted. All the 10 participants will have to vote separately and will not be allowed to vote for themselves. Again a Public Poll will be conducted and the best 3 will move to the next round (last round).
3) At the last stage Public poll will be conducted at the end of this round. But in this round Public Poll holds 90% of the weightage, votes by 10 participants will hold 10% of the weightage.

P.S : JANUBABA Idol will have no judges. This is people's Idol and we want people to choose their Idol. By any means a panel of judges is not the whole JANUBABA COMMUNITY and therefore in our Idol concept...there are no judges. People will get selected strictly on their talent basic.
