Have u noticed that whenever u are praying, u begin to think of some of the weirdest things or u think about things that have happened to u in the past, which u wouldn't normally think about when u are not in prayer.
Well, this is the doing of the Shaataan. and he puts all these thoughts in ur mind, to take ur attention away from Allah. When I pray i think to myself that Allah is watching me and is feeling his presence is a great focus tecnique.

isnt it so hard to put your mind stright to allah
sometimes thoughts do accidentally cross you mind
i mean we are human
but soemitmes it does help when you read the surahs out loud
not very loud but enough for yourself
if you concentrate on your words and your voice
then...it seems easier.
