LUX Style Awards announces Viewers’ Choice Awards nominations!

January 28, 2004 - Karachi: Unilever Pakistan formally announced today, that the prestigious LUX Style Awards 2004 will be held on the April 24, 2004 and revealed the Viewers’ Choice Nominations.

LUX is a leading Pakistani soap brand. An icon of beauty, LUX has always been associated with film stars, style, and skin care. The LUX Style Awards is a logical continuation of LUX’s close association with glamour and allows it to strengthen its image in an exciting and involved way.

In 2004, the total number of awards is 15, out of which seven are “Viewers’ Choice Awards” and eight are “Judges Choice Awards”.

An independent Board of Governors, comprising 17 individuals of high professional and social standing has evaluated, and shortlisted portfolios submitted in the Viewers’ Choice Categories.

The Final winner, for the Viewers’ Choice awards will be decided by the general public. The public will vote through the LUX Style Awards website, email, mail, 0900#, and other means of on-ground activities.

For the Judges Choice Categories, only the Fashion and Music Board of Governors will again evaluate and shortlist the portfolios submitted. Then these Board of Governors will invite individuals to form the LUX Style Awards Members. These LUX Style Awards Members will in turn vote for the final winner from among the five nominees in each of Judges Choice Categories.

An audit firm is again being assigned this year, to ensure transparency and maintain secrecy of results till the night of the event.

One further Award will be also be presented at the 3rd LUX Style Awards. It is:
·       Unilever Chairman’s Lifetime Achievement Honorary Award

Speaking on the occasion, the Marketing Manager for LUX, Mr. Fuad Chundrigar, stated that the LUX Style Awards, “…will be a World Class Show, undoubtedly the largest on-ground event in Pakistan.”

Earlier, Tom Darlow, Marketing Director Unilever Pakistan said, “LUX Style Awards is a showcase for highlighting talented people from the world of fashion and design of which the country can be proud, whose achievements should give everyone hope for its future development.”

This award can be competed foreign awards.

the ones that interest me the most are best actor/actress/music...

i would give the award 2 shaan/saima/ahmed jahanzeb....
those r just my opinions tho. i have not seen ANY of the movies these people r nominated 4. lol

Very strange nominations.....from ptv just mehandi is being choosed....fusion album is not there in nominations

i've seen the results so far based on viwer's choices, and they are:

best music: ali zafar
best actor: talat hussain (neck and neck with shaan)
best actress: zara sheikh seems 2 be the runnaway winner so far, with saima being a distant second!

in the best music album,, i cant believe how Jawad Ahmed's JIND JAND SOniyeh is not nomitated!! That album rocks dude.

we shod accept..this award is like any international level awards..
if u see dressing..dancing..sets..all of things..
atleast this award is far better than bogus Nigar and other 'Sifarashi' Awards.
