ive been wanting to make a topic like this for ages. so here goes......

i know some1 at my uni on my course, whos father is paki and mum is english. he lived in pakistan for his early childhood. and now in england. however during the first few ramadan fasts i asked him if he was fasting and his reply was
'sh*t i should start doing that' and that he never really does fast cos he isnt that religeous.

then i spk to him next time and asked a bit about his background and he told me his dads religeous but he isnt at all, he didnt know when eid was.

so looking at chanda sis and hearing about tesh, and their dedication to pakistan and their desiness and religeon, its very interesting to hear this side of the story as i have never come across half cast pakitani's.

plz tell me more about this i wanna hear more from chanda sis and tesh about their lifestyle and background. and any1 else who might have come across a half cast pakistani.

My great-uncle (peace be with him) was married to a mexican women.
WHo later converted to Islam. I come from a very religious family. And
his wife had two children...who are very pious themselves. Her daughter
married a hispanic-african american muslim. They have three children
together and they moved to the middle east...so their children can learn
about Islam and learn the arabic language. I have a very diverse
background. (I also have filipino in my family).

THeres nothing wrong with mixing. Im so for it. I mean it really
depends. If you want Islam to come first. Then Islam Encourages
Muslims to marry different ethinicities. As long as there mUSlim(dis rule
applies for women only).
And the awesome thing...THE CHILDREN>>>THEIR BEAUTIFUL.
I mean...there will be families who are pakistani and their white washed.
THere are people who are mixed and seem to not know about their
culture. But, then again there are families like...I jsut told you about.

Especially converted Muslims are more religous...its very interesting...if
you ever noticed. My Uncle...hes da who moved to middle east. He
converted. THey have more appreciation for Islam and more dedication.
Unlike us who are born into it we take it for granted.

u said the words of gold,

converts r more muslims because they value islam, more than us who take it for granted but i dunno y anyone wouldnt want o b the same religeon as their partner it think it makes thier childrens lives a misery as they r confussed with their identity.

i used to live in the middle east and i knew this american girl, her step father was arab and mother arab and she was so full of islamic knowledge, she bright my ideas about islam that even my parents who r very knowledgeable didnt know.

r u seriously english desi???

i think to make a family work parents have to b somewhat of the same level when it comes to their upbringing.

look at srk, and wife ghari, muslim hindu, i mean what do thier children do and follow, or jus b confused drunkard like salman khan, whos dads muslim, mums hindu and steo mums christian, he said himself hes not with one religeon.

its all about environment
upbringing
and islamic knowledge
of parents and children.
Those are the very important things
it doesnt matter what nationality or ethinicity
we are

but do u think its a good idea to b generously religeous,
enough to please god,
and enough to survive in this world?

and spacifically what about 1/2 castes who have inter culture marriges, is it good idea to make our religeon survie, and our culture, and the fact that its ok to marry like that?

yar
half casts can be confused with the views of both parents
and may get confused in their choice
but u know
religion is not our matter
its Allah n banda's maamla

those aspects of religion i mean that concern haqooqullah i mean are allah and banda's matter
not the politics of a religion.

ashkhan says
ya i do, y's that so hard to believe,

they can get confused with religeon, not culture.
