All wickets

4.6      Khan to Salman Butt, OUT, bowled him! Zaheer gets the ball to cut back into the left-hander off the pitch after angling it away from him, Butt was caught on his crease and tried to cut, the ball was far too close for the shot and went under the bat and crashed into the stumps, it kept a trifle low as well, the ball actually hit the top of off stump but, given the length it pitched, it would have gone over on a bouncier pitch
     Salman Butt b Khan 1 (20b 0x4 0x6) SR: 5.00

Pakistan 13/1   Yasir Hameed 6* (10b 1x4)   Z Khan 3-0-8-1
12.6      Khan to Younis Khan, OUT, caught at fine leg! Zaheer bowls a well-directed bouncer, Younis perhaps wasn't expecting one for he had moved a long way forward, and was caught by surprise, he played a hurried hook but the ball was on to him too quickly, the top edge swirled high in the air and flew to Munaf at fine leg, who took an easy catch
     Younis Khan c Patel b Khan 7 (19b 1x4 0x6) SR: 36.84

Pakistan 35/2   Yasir Hameed 20* (39b 3x4)   Z Khan 7-2-16-2
21.2      Kumble to Yasir Hameed, OUT, the straighter one....Kumble gives the ball a bit of extra flight, lands on the line of off stump, Hameed plays a half hearted drive but the ball straightens and creeps through the daylight between bat and pad and clips the off stump
     Yasir Hameed b Kumble 29 (66b 4x4 0x6) SR: 43.93

Pakistan 59/3   Mohammad Yousuf 15* (23b 3x4)   A Kumble 3.2-1-10-1
29.1      Ganguly to Mohammad Yousuf, OUT, leg-before! Ganguly drifts the ball into the right-hander, it pitches outside off and moved off the pitch into Yousuf who moved across his stumps to play the ball on the leg side and got hit on the pad in front of middle, the ball would have clipped leg and Taufel sends Yousuf on his way, Ganguly is thrilled
     Mohammad Yousuf lbw b Ganguly 27 (43b 5x4 0x6) SR: 62.79

Pakistan 76/4   Misbah-ul-Haq 5* (27b)   SC Ganguly 5.1-2-7-1
32.5      Patel to Shoaib Malik, OUT, caught! That's a massive blow for Pakistan, Munaf pitches just short of a length around off stump and shapes the ball away from Malik who plays from his crease and pushes out at the ball, he gets a thick outside edge which flies to Dhoni's right, he takes a sharp catch to send the Pakistan captain on his way
     Shoaib Malik c wicketkeeperDhoni b Patel 0 (12b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

Pakistan 83/5   Misbah-ul-Haq 11* (37b 1x4)   MM Patel 10.5-3-24-1
47.2      Kumble to Kamran Akmal, OUT, he's bowled him! That kept extremely low on Akmal, Kumble bowled a straight and quick delivery on off stump, Akmal played it off the back foot but was done in by the bounce, or rather the lack of it, the ball beat his defence and hit very low on the off stump, he should have been playing forward to that one, that's Kumble's 50th wicket at the Kotla
     Kamran Akmal b Kumble 30 (50b 5x4 0x6) SR: 60.00

Pakistan 122/6   Misbah-ul-Haq 20* (74b 2x4)   A Kumble 7.2-2-19-2
52.1      Harbhajan Singh to Sohail Tanvir, OUT, he's given him! Harbhajan bowled the quicker ball and it shot through to Tanvir and hit him in plumb of middle stump, he was on the back foot as well and Harbhajan and Dhoni had no doubt about the appeal, Doctrove was quick to raise the finger as well, replays show the ball pitched just marginally outside leg, close call
     Sohail Tanvir lbw b Harbhajan Singh 4 (16b 1x4 0x6) SR: 25.00

Pakistan 137/7   Misbah-ul-Haq 29* (87b 2x4 1x6)   Harbhajan Singh 5.1-0-19-1
53.6      Kumble to Shoaib Akhtar, OUT, Akhtar has a wild swipe across the line, Kumble had slipped in a quick and straight delivery and once Akhtar missed, the ball was headed straight for middle stump, poor thinking really for it was the last ball of the over, Akhtar should have looked to block and give the strike back to Misbah
     Shoaib Akhtar b Kumble 2 (7b 0x4 0x6) SR: 28.57

Pakistan 142/8   Misbah-ul-Haq 32* (91b 2x4 1x6)   A Kumble 11-3-26-3
95.4      Ganguly to Misbah-ul-Haq, OUT, now that is bizarre, Misbah can't believe what he's done, he played the ball towards Karthik at point and went for the single, Karthik fielded it cleanly and shied at the non-striker's end, Misbah would have made his ground easily if he had grounded his bat, instead he was watching the throw come towards him just before he reached the crease, he jumped in the air to avoid the ball and created a passage for the ball to hit the stumps, and as the ball hit the stumps, Misbah was suspended in mid air, what a way to go after a supremely careful innings, he walks back hitting himself on the head
     Misbah-ul-Haq run out 82 (243b 6x4 1x6) SR: 33.74

Pakistan 229/9   Mohammad Sami 26* (99b 3x4 1x6)   SC Ganguly 13.4-5-26-1
96.2      Kumble to Danish Kaneria, OUT, Kumble hits the stumps for the fourth time, that was full and fast, Kaneria pushed forward at it but the ball breached his defenses and hit middle stump
     Danish Kaneria b Kumble 0 (2b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00

78.4 Danish Kaneria to Patel, OUT, that's the end of the innings, Kaneria bowls a full and quick ball, Munaf gets down on one knee and tries to sweep, he gets hit low on the pad and Doctrove answers the confident appeal by raising the finger
MM Patel lbw b Danish Kaneria 0 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 0.00
Munaf Patel walks in at No 11. He has three balls from Kaneria to see off.

78.3 Danish Kaneria to Khan, OUT, he's gone this time, Zaheer tried to loft a flighted delivery over mid-off, he didn't get the elevation and Shoaib moved quickly to his left to take a sharp catch, just one wicket remains

Shoaib Akhtar to Jaffer, FOUR, 200 is up! It was a short-of-length delivery, outside off stump, Jaffer waited for it, opened the bat-face and partly-steered and partly edged it past gully. He takes off his helmet and raises his bat. Ganguly comes across to congratulate and the players in the dressing room are up on their feet.

pakistan ke khoob pitai ho rahi hae

Bazigaar says
91.1 Sohail Tanvir to Jaffer, OUT, Like yesterday, Tanvir strikes with his first ball. Wasim Jaffer is gone after playing a fabulicious knock. It was slanting away from him and a tad outside off stump too but he stabbed at it. Fatal. He turned back in hope but Akmal was not going to drop this.

126.4 Danish Kaneria to Ganguly, 1 run, He has done it! His first ton at Eden Gardens and his first against Pakistan too. He leaned forward to a full delivery, placed it to right of mid-off and ran with the stroke. The hands were held aloft and after reaching the crease he hopped up in joy and pumped his fist. The crowd roar and the players in the dressing room are up on their feet.
