I hear what you are saying and empathize with you. Before beginning on your journey, I recommend you read a couple of books. However, I want to know why you want to start a business:
- is it because you want to please your wife?
- do you hate your job?
- do you want riches and fame?
- do you want to solve a need?
I hear of many people wanting to start a business that eventually becomes nothing. Before you go down the rabbit hole of just starting a random business, I recommend you read two books:
1. MJ DeMarco - The Millionaire Fastlane
2. Robert Kiyosaki - Rich Dad, Poor Dad
Both have great viewpoints and contrasting ones for the matter, though they both are two of my all time starter books. If I were to recommend a third one, it would be Jeff Olsen's The Slight Edge. These three books will bring you on a path and process towards starting a business that has staying power. My friend does ??gutter cleaning in Woodstock GA and follows the principles in books 1 and 3 outlined to develop a thriving business. Another friend of mine does apartment complexes as well and follows the principles in books 2 and 3 and is doing very well for himself. Honestly, the world to business is open for those who are willing to serve, and I believe those books will serve you well.
Please let me know how your journey progresses.
