This is a new topic because it's a different computer from last
topic. I'm using my husbands laptop since mine died. Recently his
started acting super laggy and I got a warning that popped up that said
my data is being stolen. I didn't click anything that was prompted but I
did close everything down.

That warning didn't come back, but now I got an email from my website
hosting that I need to scan my computer because there has been a hacker
attack on my site that they think is a result of my data being
collected, but they can't be too sure. I confirmed that this email DID
generate from my hosting and isn't a scam email (but to be safe I didn't
click any links or reply to the email - I called my hosting company).

Thanks for any   help!

I also had such a case, only I took the computer from work and fixed what kind of sites and messages appeared in the evening. I don't know the steps in hacking, and I wrote on the net how to hire a hacker on the dark web? Because that's how I understood that there are better experts, and that's how it was. I found a specialist who fixed in the evening what he agreed to come to help me. He was nearby. But on that site, you could also solve your computer problem online. The first time I saw such an option. I have already saved this link if I will have issues similar to the computer.
