fakhirs video for 'tauba hai' was made in india by an indian director. the video was horrific. he danced in it along with the girls: no storyline no concept.
but his new video for 'mahi ve' has been made in pakistan, by azim raza and the difference is like night and day. the video is inspired by the american stage play 'chicago' it takes place in the 1920's, and there is a kick ass storyline to it. the best part is....fakhir does NOT dance (too much) and AMNA HAQ IS IN IT!!!
bro....u watch mahi ve, and then tell me honestly which video you think is better. forget the girls in either video. just compare video-to-video.

as for the word 'mahi'...its been used in pakistani songs since forever. he didn't copy anyone. look at atif alsam's song with the same name. its a trendy lyric these days, as is 'tere bina'....
I finally watched both videos.
Tauba- The video is so much like Kambakht Ishq and it's so bollywood. I hate videos that are too OTT(over the top) ie. so colorful, too many costume changes, horrendous kitsch costumes, choppy editing according to the lyrics( you know when everything goes on too fast with no real meaning except to make it look fast paced), no storyline, weird dancing etc. This is esentially what I hate in bollywood songs too: two dancers wearing ugly costumes and a group of extras in the background wearing even uglier costumes.
Mahi Ve-This video is definitely one of the best I've ever seen. Very artistic and it has a theme and everything revolves around it. Amna Haq looks gorgeous(she always does) and her look is according to the theme(Moulin Rouge style). The dancing is essential and appropriate, the sets are gorgeous and even the song is better than Tauba.
So far the best Pakistani music videos have been Supreme Ishq-Anarkali, Khamaj-Fuzon and Mahi Ve-Fakhir and i dont even watch pakistani music videos that much. Makes me happy that there's sooo much talent in Pakistan.
