Secret Whispers

You left today, without a word,
I waited for you to call.
But the phone never rang,
My heart began to fall.

I thought I'd see you online,
Or an email waiting for me.
But not anything came from you,
No goodbye for me to see.

I guess I didn't mean as much,
As you led me to believe.
All the sweet words you whispered,
Were only meant to deceive.

I always loved to talk with you,
The thoughts we shared were real.
In my heart and mind I cherished,
The moments that we'd steal.

You could make me laugh,
And feel the tingle with each word.
We would whisper secret things,
Never meant to be overheard.

Now you left me without a word,
No parting words you spoke.
I'm left dissolutioned and hurt,
Making me look like a joke.

At least I'll make good use,
Of the time while you're away.
I can contemplate on my next move,
Until you come back to stay.
