then scattered
like breadcrumbs
in some sad
fairytale.
Now bitter winds
of time and memories
pierce the flesh,
then numb my heart
from pain.
Within the harshness
of broken dreams
and lost love,
old meets new
with cautious
optimism.
Healing slowly with
tenderness,
becomes my hope
for tomorrow.
