Leading Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor's wedding with delhi-based businessman, Sanjay Kapoor, would be held in the metropolis in October.
"We will not be having an engagement ceremony," the actress' father, Randhir Kapoor, told a news agency.
"We propose to have the marriage around Dusshera", he said adding the wedding ceremony will be held in a traditional manner.
"The wedding is an arranged one. Both Karisma and Sanjay have known each other but the alliance has been fixed with the help of common friends," Kapoor said.
"As a father, I am both very excited and happy. She has had a very successful career so far and I wish her all the success in her marriage as well, Kapoor said.
Earlier, Karisma, had been engaged to actor Abhishek Bachchan, son of Amitabh Bachchan. The engagement had been officially announced by Amitabh during the veteran star's 60th birthday in October last year. However, the engagement was called off mutually.
