X : oh forget it .
Y : ok .


the trees sway as i watch the dunnock complete her nest . I noticed it the first time when i came here last week . Thats where i met shoeb who told me she was getting married .



X : acha listen ..
Y : kya ...
X : you wont forget about me , will you .
Y : dunnoo
X : really ?
Y : yeah
X : hummm you're angry right ?
Y : nahh
X : you do understand why im helpless here ?
Y : uh han ..
X : why ?


I stared at her . It was either mist or I could see the summer clouds sweep by in her crisp clear eyes . Her perfume reminded me of orchids , like LED's her bangles shone in a myriad of lil lights hung on a shaadi waala ghar , her brows were as immaculate as ever , her hair fell leisurely on her shoulders , the beige kurta had a nice mild-cream border , the hem fluttered making mute sounds , her slippers were pink in stark contrast with the rest of her , ... everything was perfect but her voice trembled like the solitary leaf inuring to depart from the tree , sadly , having endured all , left hanging on a naked assailable tree on autumn's arrival with nothing to mask its vulnerability . Or maybe it was the departure . I really didnt know what to say . i thought of saying all the things that she wanted to hear .The funny part now that i think of is that i dont remember what i said after all of this . Maybe i do but im making this subconscious effort to forget the past of me echoes with and around people .
