Please Call our MASJID "MASJID"! Not "MOSQUE"!!!
Difference Between MASJID and MOSQUE
Please read this and pass it on as much as you can. It is vital and
important information. Muslims should now refrain from using the
term "Mosque". I was flipping through this book the other day
called:
"THE COMPLETE IDIOT'S GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING ISLAM" (they call
themselves idiots) and it is filled with fun facts. One of them
concerns the term Mosque."
So many of us think this is the English translation of Masjid. I'm
sure none of us ever wondered how this term came into being when it
really had little in common with how it sounded compared to
'Masjid'. (We were very young when we were taught this English word.
Our minds then were not critical & analytical, so didn't dare to
ask/challenge our teachers, right?)
Anyway this book pointed out that the term 'mosque' is derived from
the Spanish word for "mosquito." It was termed as such because
during the Crusades, King Ferdinand said they were going to go and
swat the Muslims
like mosquitoes". (Where else can they find Muslims in large number
to be swatted if not in a Masjid?). So, they cheekily termed
"Masjid" as "Mosque".
So, Dear Muslim brothers and sisters, refrain from using this term, which is obviously a disgusting slap in the face to the Ummah.
Educate our brothers and sisters to the history and etymology of
this word. And let us replace it with the word, which is MEANT to be
used: Masjid! The Place of Prostration!! Not Mosque: the place to be
swatted!

assalm-o-alkium...supid guy..I dont know exectdly about it...but in my opinion...we should refrain to use such type of words which non-muslims are using in -ve sens..."HAZRAT MOHAMMAD (s.a.w)" ko kuch munafqeen ek word se bulatte the (dont remmember dat word but dat meaning was "A RESPECTABLE PERSON" in arabic language,in an other languge it was used for "A BAD CHARACTER person")that munafqeen were using dat word in a bad sens...
un ko dekhatty houy sahabh akram(r.a) ne bhi woh word use karna shorrow kar dia.... ..."HAZRAT MOHAMMAD (s.a.w)" ne sakhtii se un sahabyon ko wo lafz use karny mana farmaya...even that sahabass are using dat word in order to respective manner...
so i think u got it...???
(but just ALLAH N HIS LAST PROPHET (PBUH) KNOWS EVERYTHING )

AOA............Walaikuma-ssalam!..............First of all WelCome Digital Girl to JB.........thnx to all of you that u ppl like this post.........but still there is no one Member or Logger who tell me ke kya kabhi koi aisi baat sunne mai aai hai ke nahi??????waise tu mere jis frend ne yeah mail mujhe Forward ki hai .......... he is my one of Reliable Chum.............but i think ke Confirmation @ least Deen ke case mai Necessary point hona chahiye...............
And Digital Girl i think Only ALLAH(SWT) know about Everything.........there is no human jo Ghaib ka Ilam(knowledge) rakhta ho............
So, i think ke Deen(Islam) ke Maamlay(Case) mai koi Idea yaa andaza or estimation kisi aam Insaan ko nahi karni Chahiye.......Except Ulamaye Ikram...........

we dont think b4 we leap...this mosquito thing is lil' less imp....iam gonna tell u something interesting...see we call *ALLAH as KHUDA*(leave god a side coz it is total non islamic term)KHUDA is the word of farsi(persian i suppose)which means BARA..it doesnt mean ALLAH...KHUDA is never used in the holy book...no buddy ever pronounced ALLAH AS KHUDA in old times....so y we ? ...guys ALLAH bahut bara and merciful too...HE will INSHALLAH show us the right path
