Teesri Aankh..Srk

Pakistani film actress Meera is set to act in a film based on the life of 1970s’ popular Indian actress Parveen Babi.

Revealing her future plans, she said that she would quit showbiz in two years after doing five classical and family-oriented films, one of which would be her own production worth Rs 10 crore.

The controversial actress also said that she would marry after two years.

Claiming that her next five films would be quality films and would be remembered for years to come, Meera said: “The first of these films will be my own production ‘Siraf Aap Key Liye’ which will be produced with a budget of Rs 100 million (ten crore). The film’s planning and other production formalities would be decided in her newly established production house in Dubai. I shall quit the showbiz world after doing five ‘classic’ films and from now, I will only perform in family-oriented films.”

She said that after joining the film world she grew mature and learnt different aspects of life. “I spent the time I should’ve spent in college on cold floors of film studios. It was as if I was never a child. I did not know how to dress. I was innocent and shy girl but the glamour world and its experiences brought about a big change in me. Now after 10 years, I am a totally different Meera.”

About her experiences while doing Bollywood films, she said:
“Rani Mukherjee is my best friend. She spent a lot of time improving my speech and my over all personality. The same goes for Sanjay Dutt, he is also a good friend. Dutt and I will soon hold a show for earthquake victims either in Delhi or Bombay. Mahesh Bhatt is like a father to me and he helped me a lot. I am doing a film with Subhash Ghai.”

MEERA NEW VENTURE

Renowned film actress Meera has become the first Lollywood heroine to launch her own official website.

Talking to Daily Times on Tuesday, a jubilant Meera said, “I have been planning to launch my official website for a long time, for my fans and colleagues of the glitterati.”

The comprehensive site offers a complete list of about sixty films that Meera has acted in, along with another section describing her up-coming ventures. A part of the site displays all the fashion-magazine covers that Meera has ‘adorned’ over the years and includes more than thirty thumbnail photographs.

Membership of Meera’s Fan Club includes exclusive access to her message board, newsletters, exclusive chats and future contests where the members have a chance to win prizes and tickets to her film shows.

Meera’s fans can also make donations to the “Shafqat Trust” a charity in the name of Meera’s mother. It is going to start soon in Shiekhupura, Meera’s birthplace.

SIZZLING MEERA

ACCORDING TO MEERA : It's my body and I should have freedom to decide what I want to do with it. As long as I am not doing anything illegal or immoral
