Beyond The Shadows

Shadows latent in pale moonlight,
we face our fears in darkest night.
Figment of imagination,
blended thoughts, minds stimulation.

Not quite seen but always there,
in life, shadows loom everywhere.
To test our strength and endurance,
wisdom sought in life's assurance.

Sunlight warmth and shadows follow,
empty heart and trees now hollow.
Temperate thoughts we analyze,
fear masquerading in disguise.

Overshadowed by unknown force,
knowledge forged, a new course.
Do not yield to trepidation,
hope and faith gives inspiration.

Although the branches at night creep,
they make aware the lives we keep.
My friend you can not hide or run,
for shadows lurk with moon and sun.
