When Heartache Takes Hold

Inner chamber still haunts and preys,
mid dismal dire straits.
Your vision on my mind still weighs,
as heartache accumulates.

Lost love's deafening hollowness,
words of profanity.
Heartbeat keeps pounding emptiness,
brink of insanity.

Enmeshed with internal anguish,
to tangled to undo.
Left alone, withdrawn to lauguish,
can not live without you.

I dare not leave these chamber walls,
it would be my demise.
Where demons lurk and death calls,
mid darkness when love dies.

To overcome depression's bout,
I must take back control.
My inner peace I must search out,
in this darkened hole.
