Mera maqsad bithana tha usay janay ki jaldi thi,
Muje dukhra sunana tha usay janay ki jaldi thi,

Na tha waqt paas us k meri dastan sunta,
Bara lamba fsana tha usay janay ki jaldi thi,

Milanay hath aya tha vo rasman ham faqeeron se,
Magr ye ek bahana tha usay janay ki jaldi thi,

Bari muddat se khwahish thi magar qismat na thi yaro,
Galay usko lagana tha usay janay ki jaldi thi,

Usay rokta bhi to kaisy main, meray kehnay pe vo rukta kahan,
Usay har haal main jana tha usay janay ki jaldi thi,
