Wisdom of shadows, truth hid deep,
comes to surface, mid night's creep.
You kept truth hidden so very well,
kept hidden away so I could not tell.

Light now shines upon your misdeed,
out of the shadows where lies breed.
Run over with heartache, tears begin,
as I realize what a fool I have been.

As I look back it was always there,
you never loved me, never did care.
Tossed away all the good between,
forever friends that might have been.

At times friends are not who they seem,
hide in the shadows, destroy dreams.
In the end truth comes out, destroys,
shatters heart, takes away love's joys.

I trusted you with my heart and soul,
invisible lies have taken theirs toll.
Love is a word of promises to keep,
