Upon edge of total despair,
drawn into darkness of fear.
Cast out into void now bleak,
stench of death clearly reek.

Emotional ebbs and flows,
with each year sorrow grows.
Burdens keep the mind taut,
surrendering battles fought.

Hope come, wash over me,
from chains set me free.
Return to me dreams lost,
buried neath life long frost.

Last chance upon this day,
before life is washed away.
Do I drown with last breath,
become consumed by death.

Inner strength to be found
let the mind again be sound.
Heart and soul soon mend,
