RAS AL-KHAIMAH: A Pakistani has been sentenced by an Islamic court in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to have his hand cut off for stealing about 70 dollars, a newspaper reported on Sunday.
The 20-year-old, whose name was not given, was sentenced by the court in Ras al-Khaimah, one of the seven members of the UAE federation, after admitting that he had stolen 250 dirhams from an Indian, al-Khaleej daily said.
The last amputation ordered by a court in the UAE, where Islamic Sharia law is practised, was in June 1998 when three Omanis were convicted for breaking into shops and other businesses in Fujairah. It is not known whether the sentence was carried out

UAE's constitution is the Holy Quran and Hadith. Everybody knows. As per Quran tooth for tooth, ear for ear...
It is for everybody regardless nationality. Even then if any one steels or do something wrong he knows he will be punished if caught. If not in this world definatelly in the world after.
