Reflecting the spirit of the current thaw in Indo-Pak relations, a 70-member Indian film artistes' team, led by Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty , would perform in the Pakistani city of Lahore coinciding with the 15-day spring festival being celebrated there from next week.
Considered as the largest Indian cine artistes' show in Pakistan in recent times, the Bollywood stars will arrive at the Royal Palm Golf Club in Lahore along with top singers and artistes to perform at the Concord-2002-India-Pak show on Feb 12, the club's Director Pervez Qureshi said.
Those participating in the show include Jatin Lalit , Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan , he said adding that it would be an exclusive show by the Indian stars and the tickets were priced as high as Rs 8000.
Meanwhile, top Ghazal singer Jagjit Singh is scheduled to perform in Karachi in a special show.
Also known as festival of kites, the 'Lahore Basant Festival' is considered Pakistan's largest tourist fest. The spring festival is expected to attract crowds from within Pakistan, India and across the world.
A Delhi-Lahore Golf tournament is also organised, Qureshi said adding that 20 Indian golfers are expected to take part in the event.
Several Indian film celebrities including Mahesh Bhatt , Pooja Bhatt and Urmilla Matondkar visited Pakistan in the recent months following the improvement in relations between the countries. Currently, Nandita Das is on a visit to Lahore and Karachi.

The above show was earlier slated to be held on February 12th 2004 and then postponed due to technical problems.
The show will also have participation of a few Pakistani performers such as Mr. Ali Zafar who has the current super hit song “Channo” and Mr. Ahmed Jahenzeb. The event is a big step
towards further strengthening peace between the two nations and it is also the first time that soo many stars from bollywood are heading towards Pakistan to perform.
The show is being sponsored by the “Royal Palm Golf & Country Club” which is also the venue for the event. Royal Palm is also currently the most sought after club for the rich and famous of Pakistan. In addition to the above, the stars are also expected to be witnessing the one day finals between India and Pakistan which is a day before the event.
The show will be a 3 hour musical extravaganza and will feature songs from all of Jatin-Lalit’s movies as well as dance performances on the latest hits by the leading stars. A Mumbai based entertainment company has been hired to direct the show. The show will commence with a grand finale with all the Indian and Pakistani performers coming together for the closing sequence.
