Mirror on the wall who will be Nargis of them all. Ever since debutant director Zoya Akhtar’s talks did not materialize with actress madhuri Dixit, she has been in a quandary as to zero in on for the title role of Nargis. “I don’t know what to do. We have thought about a few names like Aishwarya Rai, Priety Zinta and Karisma Kapur. But haven’t approached anyone,” she said. Rumours have it that Preity Zinta was keen to play the role in the film and had even offered bulk dates. Preity it may be known has been a good friend of the Akhtar’s and offered to bail out Zoya out of her dilemma. It may be recalled that Zoya had written the script with Madhuri in mind. But as Zoya puts it, “we had creative differences and parted ways amicably.”


Karisma for sure. Only becuz she has the talent and the look. I love Preity but she would not fit the role nor would aish. Karisma can act her heart out. I would love for her to make a great come back.
