Indonesian filmmaker Rudy Soejarwo directs the teen movie Ada apa dengan cinta? (What's With Love). Set in Jakarta, the film involves the romance between high school girl Cinta (played by Southeast Asian pop singer and teen magazine cover girl Dian Sastrowardoyo) and a boy named Rangga (Nicholas Saputra). She learns that his father has been banned from teaching and is later found under attack for his political views. Also, Cinta's best friend attempts to take her life due to a domestic violence situation with her family.
