dude, it doesnt matter people are dying on the streets because they have no food whos going to go to the cinema, tell mr shahbaz sheriff and thief justice that, the cost of a ticket does not matter no more first of all gov. need to make food available to the people and increase employment and business opertunites rather then killing them,so people can have spare money and enjoy them selves at a cinema with their disposable income.

Now thts an other issue!

I totally agree with yoyo. The Cinema Tax is not going to
benefit that much as hardly currently any films are made.
Its only going to benefit the distributors and Cinema
owners of Indian Films. Its again vested interests Waqar.

The only thing this government and previous ones have
done is to destroy the film industry. These people have
no idea what Cinema is and its importance.

The same goes with numerous other problems our country is
facing.

Most blame the system we live in but do have a system in
place.

No MR NICE i dont agree with you!
The Cinema Tax if was applied would have effected the film industry alot!Like if a film is shown in a cinema then most of the earnings from shows which were 65% would go to the Govt and not much would be left for the distributor than the producer itself.
Thts why the people of film industry like Shehzad Rafique,Syed Noor were against it!

Well Sajjad Gul has always been a very shrewd businessmen
and has proved it yet again. Evernew Studios in Lahore has
been rotting for years and has never been updated. The film
industry has virtually bagged him for modernising the
studios but nothing has happened.

Its strange that all the fame and money Sajjad Gul has got
is from the Pakistani film industry and today he and his
brother have abandoned it in its hour of need.

Its all about money.

Thts very true and sad...

If he got a powerful role then where is he in the promos.
Any how lets see happens in the coming days.

He is not in the promos because the producers know tht if they will highlight a Pakistani Star in it,the extremists will protest against it in India and tht mite cause the business of the film to suffer.

acutally syed noor is afraid to spend huge money so he is not making urdu movies where you can use ARRIFLEX cameras after bad experience of 'LARKI PUNJABAN' ..

I am surprized like syed noor director who has a brain why he afraid?

Syed Noor has already spent a lot of money in making his academy, buying the latest sound equipment, and editing machine Avid...how much more he should spent?

Syed Noor is the only person from the film industry who earned from it and than returned it back by investing in it.

I think so it will not be hard for the Goverment to import Arri Cameras.

Well the Arri Cameras are avaliable in Pakistan but they are in limited supply.Thats wat i have heard.
Yaar mostly Syed Noor nowadays is carving for a Film processing labortary with DTS sound system!Thts it!
If we get a proper studio where there are all facilites of films post-production are avabliable like DI,Telecine!

I listened camera was used in this movie was latest which is a shahnoor studio and they updated.
but syed noor still is weeping every day in tv program,we dont have cameras and so on.

STANDARD its true the film was shot using the cameras which was imported by Shahnoor Studios sum years back but let me tell you tht those cameras are also not the latest and preffered ones, they are Kodak Cameras.
Though mostly people in Bollywood and Hollywood use Arriflex camera which has a lot of features and better result than Kodak.
Syed Noor still uses the Kodak camera but now he has taken a wise decision to do the processing frm India, now when u will look at his new film's picture quality and than see the pic quality of his last fim Jhoomer,u will see a major difference.
Infact,a bunch of Lollywood films have also been shot wid Arii like Mohabbataan Sachiyaan,Kitni Haseen Hai Zindagi,Devdas,Koi Tujh Sa Kahan,Yeh Dil Aap Ka Huwa and sum others aswell.

Its surely a good step.
It was really surprising tht most drama serials are recorded in Karachi and there was not a proper studio there.
But this step has also setup the BASE of Karachi Film Industry. It will be very helpful for the young lot who want to venture into filmaking like Saqib Malik,Asim Raza etc.
But Gul Sahab should also convert and renovate Evernew Studios in Lahore.

Khuda Kay Liye is a way lot better than New York.
New York is a crap, loosely adapted version of Khuda Kay Liye. The only different thing is the glitz and glamour added in New York.
New York is nothing in front of KKL!
Its a shame to even compare such a masterpiece with such a Bollywood Film!

The first half of the year has been relli very bad for Lollywood! All films,jo thori bhut rls hui, were flop.
Some film critics are saying tht Its the worse tht Lollywood has seen, but they are expecting things to get better in the second half as there quite a biggies(by our local standards)lined up to rls which includes Kitni Hasseen Hai Zindagi,Chana Sachi Muchi,Bhai Log,Devdas,Price of Honor and other Punjabi films of Syed Noor.

This is a very good step by Engro Foods!
Its so heartning to see such a Large Company''Engro Foods''doing such a program for boosting the local Film Industry! Its highly appreciated!
And the best thing about the program is tht its full Pakistani...no Indian Element in it!Unlike most of the so called talent hunt shows in which the contestants are singing Indian songs!
And yet the show has grand production values! The sets are amazing!
The show is itself interesting uptil now and its surprising to see so many willing candidates!
It will surely give a boost to Lollywood!

Ya yaar thts a very wrong and disguisting decision by the Pakistani Govt.!I must say they should take it back as its bad both for the Film and Cinema Industry!
Now even many Local films are paving the way to release but if this tax is not taken back than the Film Industry will be completly be Histroy!

The script has been written by Wasi Shah. Rumors are flying here and there that Reema has named her film Koi Merey Dil Sey Poochey = Kitni haseen hai Zindagi??.The script has been written by Wasi Shah. is this true?/ if yes then Movie will be gr8

Well in the beginning Reema appointed sum scriptwriters to write script of her film and told them she will choose the best one for her film!Wasi Shah was one of them!
But Reema liked the script of Pervaiz Kaleem so the film is scripted by Pervaiz Kaleem!
Well Wasi Shah is a good poet but certainly it dosent mean tht he can be a good film writer!
But even i was expecting the script of Wasi Shah to be good!

Pervaiz kaleem yeh kaun hai??

Lol...u dont know Pervaiz Kaleem?
He is a reowned scriptwriter of Lollywood!
Wrote screenplay and scripts of films like Jannat Ki Talash,Mujhey Chand Chahiye,Zilay Shah,Mohabbtaan Sachiyaan and many other hits are to his credit.
He is quite good indeed!
