shab-e-barat ko roza rakhna or ebadut kerna bohut hi accha hai
lekin wo jo koondey type chezen hoti hain
hamarey yahan wo nahi hoteen
coz Islam main is terha ka koi bhi ziker nahi milta...
lekin kertey ahin mostly log....

what do u mean by 'koondey type'?
i got a book jis main har month ke baare main likha hai aur us main yeh bhi likha hai humaare Rasool (pbuh) shab e baraat ke doosre din roza rakhte hain. mere khayaal main sunnat hai, farz nahin....

main ne kab khudanakhuasta roza ke liye kaha hai
roza tu bilkool bohut acche baat hai
iski fazeelat bohut hai
main ne koonday ke barey main kaha hai
ke wo bilkol bhi na tu sunnat hai or na hi offcourse
farz main shamil hain
ye insaan kee apni paida ki hoyee baat hai
or jo kuch quran main or sunnat main hai sirf wohi qabil-e-taqleed hai
werna biduat yani apni taraf se banayee hoyee rasam
hai....
well i think point clear ho gaya hai...
lekin bohut sare log kiyonke kertey hain aisa tu ...is liye maloomat bhi nahi hai ....

mere khayaal main srk ka matlab hai ke sirf khaate naheen hain balke ibadat bhi saath karni partee hai.... lekin ibadat to har waqt honi chahye...

Ramadhan mubarak to all.
Shab e barat is not really mentioned in any authentic hadith. Prophet (PBUH) used to fast three days, 13, 14, and 15th of each lunar month, including Sha'ban. Fasting on any day is good except the day of Eid. It is the practice of prophets to fast regularly in all months. It is also a practise of shahaba to fast in months and the whole month of Ramadhan.
Someone said, we can't keep up with sahaba. I say only if we try we can get close to that. We try our best to look and act like movie and sports stars and such. Do we ever try to immitate Prophet(SAW) or his companions!
