Spotpoll : What’s your favourite body part?
SANJAY DUTT
I’m told the first thing people notice about me are my eyes and women tell me my eyes are very sexy. Some even call them bedroom eyes though frankly, I don’t know what they mean by that. At one point they used to be called dopey eyes. Now they’ve become bedroom eyes. Strange.
Want to know which’s the worst part of my body? My heart. It’s a sucker for sob stories; people just have to cry and I’m there with a kerchief. It’s landed me in a lot of financial problems too.
ESHA DEOL
Right now, I love my whole body because I’ve worked so hard on it in the last six months. If you’d asked me this question one year ago, I’d have said I hated it, I’d have found fault with my arms, my waist, my legs, everything. But now I’m in love with my body, with the way it’s shaped out. Suddenly, my skin is glowing, my arms and legs and abdomen are looking so taut. Gosh, I’m on top of the world.
I have only one complaint: My lower abdomen could be flatter. But not to worry, I’m working on that.
BOBBY DEOL
My heart. Because it’s so full of love. There’s absolutely no negativity in there. All it contains is pure unadulterated love. I genuinely don’t hold a single mean thought about anyone. My heart also has an immense capacity to forgive and forget.
What I hate about my body is its metabolism. It’s very, which means I put on weight very easily. I’m constantly struggling to raise my metabolic rate.
SHAHID KAPOOR
Honestly, analysing or even talking about one’s own body seems so narcissistic. Since you insist, maybe I’d say it’s my arms. I get a lot of compliments for biceps and I’m proud of them because I’ve worked really hard on them. But I hate showing them off because it’s so wannabe. You know, those photographs of guys posing in tight T-shirts showing off their biceps. (though I have to confess having done some myself !)
Er, I also have people telling me that I have good lips. Okay, now this is getting too embarrassing so let me move to which part I hate. Well, all I know is that my body needs one helluva lot of attention because of my tendency to lose weight. If I don’t eat regularly and don’t exercise I’m doomed.
BIPASHA BASU
I hate my feet! They’re so big! One always hears of ladies having dainty feet, so when I see mine I get so upset. But my mother has always told me that I’m like the peacock, which is a beautiful bird with ugly feet.
My eyes are my best feature. When I line them with kohl, I get a lot of compliments! Hey, let me tell you this story... When my father traveled to Bhind in Madhya Pradesh, he discovered that the dacoits in the area actually have my photograph on their wall. They think my eyes resemble that of a devi and they actually do a pooja before the photograph before they go out on their exploits. Believe it or else!
MANISHA KOIRALA
I guess it would be my eyes. Though they aren’t very big (most Nepalese have small eyes) I’m told they are very expressive and that I can convey a lot on screen just through my eyes.
My legs would have to be the worst part of my body because, however much I exercise or diet, they don’t seem to become thin.
FARDEEN KHAN
My hands, of course. After all they are a man’s best friend. Jokes apart, they are the most important part of my body because I do all my work with them. Besides, they look good. I have long, tapering fingers which look quite artistic and make a good picture. The worst part of my body would undoubtedly be the extra inches on my lower abdomen. God, can I do away with them.
AJAY DEVGAN
I guess it would be my eyes. I’m told they’re very expressive. That I emote very well with them. I’m told I my eyes can speak volumes without my saying a word. I guess that’s the biggest compliment for an actor.
CELINA JAITLEY
Most women long for a tiny waist and I’ve been naturally blessed with a 24-inch one. I’m proud of it. I also have nice legs and love showing them off. Actually I like my entire body and I’m not in the least bit self-conscious about showing it off. I love its shape and that it’s proportionate all over.
Though I walk tall, I wish I were slightly taller. When you go to international pageants and see all those tall women, you really envy them. But I’m grateful to God for whatever He’s given me.
