Celina Jaitley wants to be an 'angel'!

INDIATIMES MOVIES

Our Bollywood beauties are no longer restricted to wooing men with coy smiles, fluttering eyelids and swinging hips. Today they opt for kick-boxing, somersaulting and firing guns. Lara Dutta and Diana Hayden have been training in martial arts for their films; and Bipasha is moving in the same direction. But the newest to jump on the bandwagon of action women is Celina Jaitley - she's all ready to take on the world, with fists flying and legs a-kicking. As she told us, "For my film down South I was trained by a famous stuntman called 'Stunt Shiva'. And the kind of action I've done is a mix of stuff from 'Charlie's Angels' and the typical Rajnikanth-style moves," explains the actress. Bollywood's macho men better watch out - our ladies will soon become ‘angels’ in
disguise!

A sizzling Saturday

Anniversaries are always about celebrations. And when Deepti Reddy’s magazine turned two, she saw to it that the entire city partied in style. The elegantly done up five star hotel venue saw Page 3 regulars, the token Tollywood folks and hip youngsters, all shaking their leg to DJ Pearl’s music. Apart from the entertainment acts, the focal point of the party was the island bar where models Binal Trivedi, Diandra Soares and Niketan Madhok mixed the drinks. The Tollywood gang included Dr jasekhar
and wife Jeevita, Nag and Amala, Mohan Babu
who came with son Vishnu, and Ravi Teja. But knowing how much Hyderabadis are into celebrityhood, the one guest everyone was abuzz about was Celina Jaitley, who was
seen jiving with her co-star Vishnu. Among the 1000 plus guests were lots of new faces – something that’s becoming a very Hyderabadi phenomenon. On the other hand, some known faces like
Vishwas Raju, who’ve been keeping a low profile, also made it to the do.

y is she always hanging around this dude lately! he's too ugly for her, she needs to make a movie w/salman or dino, or john!!!

here's a tidbit about no entry! can't wait to watch this movie!!

Salman Khan,

Fardeen Khan and Anil Kapoor in No Entry:

Another comedyscene-turned-scary. Salman Khan jumps off a cliff and manages to cling to the edge 500 ft above the ground; his
friends — played by the other two stars — try to save him. But then, they slip too and all three end up hanging from the same place. Finally, their lady loves Celina Jaitley, Esha Deol and Lara Dutta come to their rescue.

Celina Jaitley: Wash, tone, moisturise
I used to have a flawless complexion earlier but now, what with the constant exposure to the sun and the heavy screen make-up, I find my skin breaking out into a rash at times. So I really have to take good care of it.
Off the screen, I don’t wear too much make-up; just some lip gloss and, if I’m in the mood, some eye make-up. But I wash, tone and moisturise my skin religiously before going to bed every night.
One bit of advice I must give everyone who wants a great complexion is to drink lots of fluids and get at least 10 hours of beauty sleep. That really works wonders.

Bollywood, Here I Come!

Still, we were taking all this with a grain of salt. I mean, who gets to meet Robert Redford after a couple of e-mails? We were surprised to get a phone call from Feroz when we landed in Mumbai, but even more surprised to get an invitation to his house for dinner. Would it really be Khan, Vineet asked, or a practical joke? Our doubts were dispelled when his Mercedes showed up at our hotel and drove us to his beachside mansion in Mumbai's prestigious Juhu Beach neighborhood. On the ride over, Vineet's only question was: What would we talk to Feroz about? Advertisement

Feroz greeted us at the door and showed us around his palace. The house boasted beautiful artwork and sculptures, massive crystal chandeliers, a film production studio, a gymnasium, and an indoor pool. Between the butler, servants, chauffeur, and security guards, there were at least 11 employees on duty that evening.

STAR POWER. Feroz apologized that his son, Fardeen, was delayed in New Delhi. Fardeen is akin to the Tom Cruise of Bollywood. Instead, Feroz had invited Celina Jaitley, Miss India 2001, who has since become a popular Bollywood actress. My son and I looked at each other in utter disbelief when she walked in the door a few minutes later. Vineet almost fell off his chair. Clearly, that night we were visiting a different universe than the one we inhabited back in North Carolina.

It was an enchanting evening. They told us stories about the production of their upcoming film, gossiped about their fellow Bollywood stars, and discussed the inner workings of beauty pageants. Feroz also gave me an interesting lesson on the dynamics and economics of the entertainment industry, and took me to his production studio, where he showed clips of his upcoming movie, Janasheen.

I learned a lot in those four hours, later calling Brad Listermann to thank him and to ask how I could possibly return the huge favor of making me look like a superhero in the eyes of my son. He hesitated, then wondered if I could spend some time to review a business plan, and possibly introduce him to any members of the Indian tech community who might be interested in funding it.

He had developed this plan with the help of his mentor, Duncan Clark, the ex-President of Columbia Tri-star's International Theatrical Division, who was fascinated by Bollywood's potential. The plan was to produce quality Hollywood movies in Bollywood, and to do so for one tenth what a comparable independent production would cost elsewhere.

Life in top gear: The Celina Jaitley story
VINOD NAIR

TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ MONDAY, FEBRUARY 03, 2003 03:32:43 AM ]

Fast things first. Celina Jaitley is literally speeding along. While she has just returned from Kuala Lumpur, where she attended an international F1 motor-racing championship, Celina will be making a return trip to Malaysia to pose with racing champs Michael Schumacher and Jean Pablo Montoya.

‘‘It’s fun being on the fast track and sharing space with these high-adrenaline guys,’’ says Celina, ‘‘I’m looking forward to meeting them.’’ And shooting for films. For, having made the transition from beauty queen to aspiring actress, this former Femina Miss India-Universe is in the thick of tinsel-town action.
‘‘As of now, I have a Jaanasheen schedule in Thailand,’’ she informs, ‘‘The movie is almost complete and has been exciting all the way.’’ Ditto for Kashish, in which Celina’s co-star is recently redeemed cricketer Ajay Jadeja. ‘‘I am happy for Ajay, who will soon resume shooting for the film with me and Sunil Shetty. And yes, even Sunny Deol has now joined the Kashish cast. So, we’re all in it together!’’
Throw in Shaadi.com with her Jaanasheen co-star Fardeen Khan, plus Rama Rao’s Hindi remake of the south Indian hit Idiot, and Celina is, quite clearly, booked to the brim with Bollywood assignments. So, what happens to her avatars as brand ambassadress and model? ‘‘Life is hectic, but I’m enjoying every moment of it. I have no complaints whatsoever.’’
Celina exudes an alluring appeal while being down-to-earth. And with an Army background backing her, the steely resolve running through this former NCC cadet’s genes has helped her realise her dreams. ‘‘The little things in life can make a world of difference to one’s perspective.’’ With this as her philosophy, Celina has set her sights high. But then, even the sky is not the limit for a twinkling star.
